FAQ
General
-
Can you tell me a bit more about your solutions?
-
Our solution is an all-natural, 100% vegan and paraben free solution that is enriched with nourishing oils and vitamins. This helps your tan stay longer and dry faster after application! We have no underlying orange tones or any scents to the product we use, so it looks and smells natural from the moment you receive it!

-
How long will my tan last?
-
Anywhere up to 10-14 days maximum! Usually you will see it fading past the first week, however it all depends on your skins natural cycle, external factors, lifestyle and how you maintain and care for your body!
-

-
How can I try to maintain my tan for the longest time possible?
-
MOISTURIZE! HYDRATE! TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF AND YOUR TAN WILL ALSO TAKE CARE OF YOU! It is very important to keep your skin hydrated and to use oil free moisturizers! This will help combat a rapid exfoliation process and it will also help with a more even fade!

-
Can I tan if I’m breastfeeding or pregnant?
-
This is a tricky question that is meant to be asked by your GP/primary caregiver! There has been no research proven to survey the effects of DHA on expectant or breastfeeding mothers!

-
Can I get a tan if I’m sunburnt and/or peeling?
-
It’s recommended to have your skin in top condition before getting a spray tan! Usually spots that are peeling are dry spots and the solution won’t stick that great to that part of your skin, which can cause unevenness! If your skin is just a bit red (without peeling) we can try to even it out; however we can’t guarantee what the results will be.
-
Oh yeah- FYI, just because you are wearing the most amazing, glowing and killer spray tan does not mean you can skip the SPF! A spray tan does not protect your body from the sun and UV rays, so make sure to always lather in that sun lotion if you will be out in the sun!
Pre-Care
-
Any precautions/advice I should take prior to my appointment?
-
Scrub a dub dub! Literally, try to exfoliate your skin nicely the day before so we have a fresh new canvas to coat your tan on! Make sure you don’t shower the day of your tan as it can alter the temperature of your body which can affect how the tan sticks to your skin! It is advised to moisturize well a week or two before you get your tan so that your body is already well hydrated! Also, make sure all beauty treatments (nail apts, shaving, waxing, etc.) are done at least 24-48 hours in advance before you come in for your tan!

-
How should I prepare for my tanning appointment?
-
Come bare, girl! Please no lotions, oils, makeup and deodorant when you are about to tan! Anything that is on your body can act as a barrier for the solution and can alter the developing process!
-

-
What should I wear to/after my tanning appointment?
-
Dark, loose-fitted clothing is always recommended as well as sandals or slippers! Tight clothing is not preferred as it can cause lines to appear on your body or the make-up coat of your tan can get rubbed off onto your clothes! However, the tan is clothing friendly and can be washed from your clothes. But still, it’s not worth the risk, you know what I’m saying?!
-

-
What do I wear during the appointment?
-
As little or as much as you like! However, it’s a different story for men. Men have to wear swimming shorts/speedos or boxers during their appointment!
-
Post-Care
-
How should I take care of my tan after leaving the salon?
-
Please do not do anything that would involve water or perspiration until your shower time! Yes, I know it’s gross but even washing your hands counts for this rule! When your time is up and you are ready to take your initial shower, do not use any product just rinse off with warm/cooler water. Nothing too hot!
-
For long term care, after your initial shower: It is recommended to not go to saunas, swimming pools, or do intense activity that will make you sweat as it can speed up the exfoliation process of your skin and make your tan fade faster.
-
How long should I wait to shower off my tan?
-
Depends on the color you would like to achieve! Also, it depends whether you’re choosing the Bronzed Glow or Deep Bronze! We estimate anytime from 1-3 hours for a lighter tan, anywhere from 3-4 hours for a medium tan and 4-6 hours for the darkest tan!
-

-
Oh no! Why did my tan come off in the shower?
-
Hehe, this is a common concern for many! However, upon taking your initial shower, you are only rinsing off the makeup coat of the tan. The solution itself has already soaked into your skin and it will continue developing for the next coming hours. So, don’t worry girl, you will still have your glow!
